Nintendo Switch 2 is around the corner and the next consoles from Sony and Xbox are soon to follow, but I haven't been really excited for what's next. honestly, I'm pretty content emulating ps2 games on the steam deck. the PlayStation 2 still feels modern today. in my opinion, it's the best console of all time just because of the sheer number of games it has to offer. I'm still playing games like the GTA trilogy, bully, the warriors, state of emergency, spiderman 2, ultimate, dragon ball z Budokai, midnight club 3, God Hand, God of war 1 and 2, all the black box NFS games. it's insane how many good quality games were released on this console! today, I want to talk about why I'm still playing these games in 2025, and if you missed out on any of these games, maybe you should consider diving into this beast of a library.
