The Cave is an album conceived as a connected space of ideas. All songs were composed and written by Michael Rolke, with all instruments performed by him. Each track stands on its own while serving a specific role within the album. What links them is a restrained philosophical reflection on everyday existence – movement, perception, and the moments in between. Oh prisoner of the flickering light, lost in the depths of eternal night, searching for meaning, longing to ignite— in this cavern where illusions take flight. With eyes that strained to seek the light, I longed to break from endless night. But chains unseen, they held me tight, binding me to this spectral sight.
