Conductor - Eugene Ivanov Solo - Polina Safronova Editor - Timothée Vishnevskiy Sound engineer - Pavel Pistsov The British choral tradition is very rich. It has been world famous since the 16th century. Paul Mealor (b. 1975) is considered the most popular British choral composer of the 21st century, despite the fact that he has also created operas, symphonies, concerti and chamber music. Welsh composer, professor of composition at the University of Aberdeen, gained international fame for his lyrical and emotive style, which appeals to a wide audience. «Locus iste» was written in 2009 for the 500th anniversary of the King’s College Chapel, based on the Latin text: «This place was made by God, a priceless mystery; it is flawless». The choir performs this piece with gratitude to the venue, to beautiful Tbilisi, and to hospitable Georgia.
