Whipped Chocolate Ganache Frosting

Sofana's Yellow Cake with Chocolate Frosting #recipe 2cups sugar + 3/4cups softened butter + 1/4cup vegetable oil beat until light and fluffy. 5 large room temperature eggs. Add 1 at a time and scrap bowl often. Add 1TBS vanilla extract 1tsp cake batter flavoring and 1/4tsp almond extract (optional) 2cups AP Flour +1tsp baking powder +1tsp baking soda +1/2tsp salt sift together 1cup room temp Buttermilk On low to medium speed add half of dry ingredients and slowly drizzle in half of the Buttermilk. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Pour batter in 2 prepared 9inch round cake pans and bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 35 to 45 minutes. To make chocolate frosting heat 1cup heavy cream in microwave until hot and steaming but not boiling. Pour hot cream over 12oz semi sweet chocolate chips and add a splash of vanilla extract and whisk until smooth. Set bowl in fridge while cake is baking and cooling. When ready to use use a hand mixer to whip cold ganache until fluffy.
