Today's Wednesday, so I get to upload whatever I want! So, for today's Whatever Wednesday video, I bring you guys some good ol' boxing action in the multiplayer mode of Punch-Out!! In this mode, two players get to box each other as different color variations of Little Mac, the main character in the Punch-Out franchise. Much like the franchise and maingame, the controls are very simplistic, with there being only minor punching options and minor dodging options. Though, this is a good thing! The simplicity of the game is what makes the Punch-Out franchise enjoyable!... that, and its extreme stereotypes of opponents in the single-player mode. The multiplayer mode also introduces Giga Mac, a powered-up version of Little Mac that is achieved once a player punches an opponent a set amount of times. It's quite a scary and fun addition, and prior to this video, I had never played as Giga Mac! Prior to recording this video, shrooby and I had a little bit of practice with this game. Because shrooby had never played the game before, I figured that he should have a little experience before playing against me. As for myself, I haven't played this game since it was released in 2009, and that was back when I made a non-commentated walkthrough (albeit a very poor one) for this game. But we both got a little bit of practice before this recording, but neither of us had ever played the multiplayer mode! So, we thought that it would be an entertaining video for you guys! Still, being left-handed and all, playing with inverted controls is still quite a challenge! Looking back at this game, this game actually is quite fun. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's the best game in the Punch-Out franchise. It was the first Punch-Out game that I ever completed, and it is quite enjoyable. And now that Little Mac is in Super Smash Bros., it makes me realize how great of a franchise this series is. And it makes me REALLY happy that he IS in Super smash Bros! I did have a great time with this game! I really did enjoy all of the stereotypical characters in this game, all of the hilarious Doc Louis quotes, and all of the fun challenges that this game had to offer, and I really encourage people to go and play a Punch-Out game. I never really realized how much this game impacted people, but looking back at the Wii game... it really is a fun and clever game. And so I figured that I should make at least ONE more video of this game for you guys. And what better way to do so than to make a multiplayer video of my first time playing the Head-to-Head mode! Thank you, and enjoy! ;)
