This educational video is intended to draw attention to the problem of facilitator cueing in a spelling technique called Rapid Prompting Method (RPM). RPM is a form of Facilitated Communication (FC). Many organizations oppose the use of FC/RPM, citing: lack of scientific evidence, prompt dependency, facilitator cueing and control, potential harms (including false allegations of abuse), and lost opportunity costs for students who are denied access to legitimate, evidence based forms of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
