Some of the standard functions include the import of IODDs, as well as searching in the databank of the IODD finder, and the automatic identification of connected devices. A clear representation of the adjustable parameters allows easy definition of the device functions. The parameter sets can be stored and transferred. They can also be archived as pdf files for documentation purposes. The process values can be illustrated with graphs during setup. This helps the user set up the parameters for different applications and ensures smooth operation of the system.
