Shaman's Rock is a natural rock outcropping that the Mission: Wolf sanctuary was first created around, 100 ft above the sanctuary and overlooking the entire southern end of the wet mountain valley. In he 90's we felt it a huge achievement to fence the rocks into a 3 acre enclosure for the wolves. The rock has intrigued every wolf who lived here as they love vista points and has provided numerous poster images of wolves on the rock (like the main banner of missionwolf.org). Shaman was a gray wolf who led at the Ambassador Wolf program and inspired the creation of Mission: Wolf. EXPLORE is the largest live nature cam network on the planet.
