The Arrowverse's Slow Quiet End

In my last CW DC video, I talked about how Crisis had the potential to change the landscape of the DC Universe, And how original shows like Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, and Stargirl were already breaking the mold and proving that these shows can be better, As well as a few of the fatal flaws the CW Arrowverse shows have in common In the wake of Crisis on Infinite Earths, I was hopeful that the Arrowverse shows would take on a new kind of energy, sort of similar to Doom patrol, Titans, or Swamp Thing, That there would be a tonal shift, with the shows abandoning the cheap campy CW soap opera tones of the past, But they didn’t. Except for one of them Superman and Lois With Flash having it’s lastseason, and the movie coming out withing months of each other, it got me thinking about how Ezra Miller was originally announced as Flash the same day the second episode of the series aired. Now 9 seasons and a whole universe of spin offs later, everything seems to be coming to an end for both universes. I’m really hopeful for what James Gunn has in store for the future of DC, but I’ll miss Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, Batwoman, and the Legends. I hope we see Grant Gustin come back as Flash again one day.
