Welcome to the San Ysidro Trials Area! Located just 1 mile west of the village of San Ysidro, NM and just past the semi-truck turn out on US HWY-550. This area is on BLM Public Lands and managed by the New Mexico Trials Association. There is a lot of history within this area. Not only have the Native Americans been living here in this area but later on, the Spanish conquistadors left their mark here too. The slot canyon typically has pools of water inside the carved bowls from erosion within the sandstone bedrock.
