Join our event ‘Special needs and technology. Ally or enemy? Advantages and disadvantages for SEN students in the digital world' with Carol Allen, named as one of the top ten educators for her work in #inclusion. According to the Audit Commission, one in five children in England and Wales has special educational needs (SEN). This includes students with severe physical or learning difficulties but also many students whose reading, writing and numeracy skills develop slowly. In this event, we focus specifically on the neurodevelopmental disorders ADHD, autism and specific learning disorders such as dyslexia or dyscalculia. We explore how educational technologies can empower children with these learning disabilities to learn effectively in an inclusive environment. #reThinkingSchools
