The organizers set very strict guidelines for this adventure: The maximum engine size of the vehicles is 1.2 litres. Donations for a charity of our choice. Start and finish are given. The route is left to our imagination. For us this means exactly: A trip from Bern to Ulan-Ude in Siberia and back again. We once planned 2.5 months for it, but who knows, maybe our vehicles only make it just across the Czech border, then the whole trip will probably only take one day. For this journey we need of course high-quality vehicles, which are up to the monstrous task and only a car brand can come into question: FIAT "If nothing goes wrong, everything has gone wrong." - is the motto of the organizers. Our main goal is to have an unforgettable adventure! We all would like to tell our grandchildren the episode with the broken wheel in Uzbekistan over and over again. ---------------------------------------------------- Mongol Rally 2018 - Was ist das? Das verrückteste motorisierte Abenteuer der Welt, welches von der Organisation "The Adventurists" ins Leben gerufen wurde. Die Organisatoren setzen sehr strenge Vorgaben für dieses Abenteuer: Hubraum der Fahrzeuge darf maximal 1.2 Liter betragen. Spenden für eine Hilfsorganisationen unserer Wahl. Start und Ziel sind vorgegeben. Die Route ist unserer Fantasie überlassen. Für uns heisst das genau: Eine Reise von Bern nach Ulan-Ude in Sibirien und wieder zurück. Wir haben mal 2.5 Monate dafür eingeplant, aber wer weiss, vielleicht schaffen es unsere Fahrzeuge nur knapp über die tschechische Grenze, dann dauert die ganze Reise wohl nur einen Tag.
