The incident happened during the wee hours of Thursday in Taipei’s East District. As the police officers had arrived by car at the building, the car had a brake failure and crashed right into the entrance of the building. The splattering glass shards cut two passers-by. Fortunately, no one was critically injured. It’s late into the night and a police car is rushing to a commercial building. When it’s about to park, the car has a brake failure and crashes right into the entrance. The glass doors shatter, and the scene frightens everyone who happened to be there. After the crash, the building entrance was completely defaced, with glass shattered and beams deformed. As for the vehicle in question, the front was also severely damaged, and so was the headlight on the left. The airbags were released, meaning, the impact of the crash was quite something. The car in question only logged in over 80,000km but had been in use since 2011, making it just one year close to expiry. After the incident, the vehicle was immediately decommissioned.
