WOW! DIY Stamps from Erasers! {Stamp Carving for Beginners!} This video will show you the basics of carving stamps. Here is another stamp carving tutorial I did a while back:    • stamp_carving_tutorial.mpg   You can use erasers, EZ cut blocks or any other stamp carving materials, even linoleum but that is more difficult to cut. I will be using a set of blades push style cutters from Speedball: http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discoun... I will be carving a jumbo eraser from the Dollar Tree. These are so thick that both sides can be carved if you wish. I like to practice on the printed side and carve the final piece on the plain side. The sharpening stone I am using is from the Dollar Tree as well, I find the larger size better because it is easier to pull the blade along a longer surface to get it sharp I find. I used to use a small pocket stone but it took longer and was not as effective. Use the finer grit to sharpen the small lino cutter blades. You can't beat it for a buck! I also recommend having scrap paper and an ink pad for testing the stamp during the process. It is a simple, inexpensive way to make stamps and I hope you give it a try! WOW!
