SOUNDBITE (English) Jonathan Rendell, Christie's Auction House, New York "There are 582 prints in the room which is a large number to expect anyone to absorb, it's sort of great though because you can really see the development of Picasso from 1945 when he really started making lithographs in the Mourlot workshop to 1965." 10. Christie's has admitted putting so many items from one artist on the market at one time is a little risky and they expect some pieces to go for as little as a few hundred dollars. All of the lithographs come from one collection and the owner has ordered them sold - no matter what the price. The works were created by Picasso and printed in a Paris studio owned by Fernand Mourlot. They were printed between 1945 and 1965 and each one is from the printers own collection. One of the more well known sets available at Monday's auction will be "Armchair Woman." Lithographs from that set are expected to bring 15-thousand to 20-thousand US dollars per slate.
