Cairngorm: Aviemore to the ski station
This video takes you on a scenic ride from Aviemore to the ski station at Cairngorm. Along the way you'll see some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery in the Cairngorms National Park, including the road alongside Loch Morlich and the stunning Cairngorm mountains. Along with the Aviemore to Kingussie Loop, this is one of Epic Road Rides 18 best cycling routes in Scotland - see https://epicroadrides.com/cycling-blo.... Total elevation gain on this climb is around 366m over 15.4km (measured from Coylumbridge – a bit further up the road from my start point). The first part of the climb is pretty easy, but after Glenmore the gradients get a bit more challenging, toping 10% in places. This was a fantastic, crisp spring day, with some remaining snow at the side of the road near the top. It was good to see that the ski centre was still open in April.
