Which sounds more like the EVH brown sound -- the Wampler Pinnacle distortion, or the Cmatmods Brownie pedal? I used a Fender Stratocaster (alder body) with a Bare Knuckle VHII in the bridge. The amp is a Fender Princeton Reverb. I recorded the Princeton direct into Logic using a Motherload attenuator and an Apogee Duet interface. Then I used RedWirez cab emulation. The reason you can't see me switching pedals is because I recorded two complete takes with each pedal, and edited the audio separately. The audio you're hearing is comped from all those takes, but the video is taken from just one of the Brownie takes. That's also why the picture is out of sync sometimes.
