Snaptrude's AI is designed as a set of modular agents — think of it like a junior architect who can handle specific tasks on demand, while the designer stays in control of the overall direction. These agents can be used individually or chained together into longer workflows. 1. Site Analysis Agent Automatically analyzes a project site when given an address or parcel selection. It queries zoning databases and local jurisdictional resources to produce: Zoning analysis (FAR, setbacks, site area) Climate and transit context Street view captures from all site corners (useful for early design approvals) Sun path and wind analysis diagrams All outputs are written to the programming spreadsheet and auto-populated as sheets in Present Mode. 2. Interpret Agent Converts selected spreadsheet rows (program data) into 3D programming blocks on the design canvas. Key behaviors: Reads room names, net areas, quantities, and departments from the spreadsheet Asks the user whether to interpret as gross area (larger combined blocks) or net/individual rooms Creates live-linked objects — changes in the spreadsheet reflect in the 3D model and vice versa 3. Research Agent A conversational agent for working with program data before pushing it to the canvas. Unlike the Interpret Agent, it lets you review and edit outputs first. Use cases demonstrated: Subdividing large department areas by floor count (e.g., divide outpatient area by 4 for a 4-story building) Setting achieved counts and per-unit areas Outputs a new spreadsheet tab for review before any canvas changes are made 4. Adjacency Computation Given a set of selected program blocks, this agent calculates space adjacencies based on design best practices and typology-specific standards (e.g., healthcare). Output: Visual line work showing strong, soft, and undesired connections between departments Fully editable — lines can be added, removed, or redrawn manually Used as input for the Pack within Envelope feature 5. Pack within Envelope After adjacencies are defined, this agent places all selected program blocks inside a chosen building envelope (e.g., a wing of the building). It: Respects adjacency logic from the previous step Distributes spaces to fill the floor plate Produces a first-pass layout for the designer to refine using standard drawing tools 6. Sketch to BIM Conversion Converts a massing model into parametric BIM elements in a single click. The designer can pre-specify wall types (e.g., glass curtain wall for exterior, generic walls for interior) before conversion. Outputs: Floor plates, exterior walls, and interior walls as parametric objects Department tags are preserved and carry over when exported to Revit Export options: .rvt file or native Snaptrude file (recommended for best Revit accuracy via the SnapStream Manager plugin) 7. LOD Hopping (Coming Soon — ~1 month) A two-way bridge between massing models and detailed BIM models. Allows designers to: Import an existing Revit model and simplify it back to a massing model for major design changes Push/pull and redesign at the massing level Automatically re-detail the model back to LOD 300 without redrawing from scratch 8. Smart Room Templates (Coming Soon — ~1 month) Import Revit room templates (or templates built within Snaptrude) and use AI to auto-populate detailed room layouts inside massing blocks. The agent: Adjusts sizes, proportions, and orientations based on each unique room's dimensions Places doors, glass walls, and internal elements based on the template logic Works across typologies (e.g., emergency rooms, patient rooms, offices) 9. AI Rendering Re-render any image — from Snaptrude or elsewhere — using generative AI models. Options include: Nano Banana (fast, high-quality outputs) — recommended Other image generation models selectable from a dropdown Best results come from detailed geometry + detailed text prompts 10. AI Video Generation (Google Veo) Generate short animated fly-through videos (8–15 seconds) from the 3D design model. Features: Slow pan, activated ground plane, and scene animation Detailed prompts improve output quality Videos can be downloaded via the media player (three-dot menu → Download) 11. Firm Knowledge Integration (Enterprise) All AI agents can be personalized using your firm's existing data: Past project spreadsheets, Revit files, PDFs, and standards documents Uploaded to a private environment within Snaptrude Agents use this knowledge to reflect your firm's specific workflows, standards, and typologies Watch the webinar to it all in action!
