It looks familiar. It feels light. But Bene’s NOOVO is not a nostalgic café chair repackaged for modern interiors. Instead, it is a carefully engineered response to how work, hospitality, and social spaces increasingly overlap. We invited Meera Tank from Bluehaus and Aya Arbab from Kristina Zanic Consultants for a hands-on review of NOOVO, joined by Bene’s Managing Director for the Middle East, Juergen Loeschenkohl, who walked us through the thinking behind the product. Today’s shared environments demand more from seating. Chairs are no longer confined to a single role or setting; they move between work cafés, breakout zones, terraces, and informal meeting spaces. Designers are tasked with finding pieces that feel approachable yet durable, lightweight yet robust. NOOVO positions itself within this reality, drawing from the sociability of coffee-house culture while being built for contemporary commercial use.
