Should You Get The Barefoot Footprint 01's? | Why I Returned The Footprint 03's

⦿ Book A Mix: https://www.evorecording.com/category... In this video I give an in depth review on the Barefoot Footprint 01 Studio Monitors. I touch on my use with the Barefoot Footprint 03's which were recently released and dive into why I ultimately returned the FP03's to get the FP01's. The Footprint 03's have a known noise floor issue where audible white noise is present at all times, this noise wasn't too bad while music was playing, but listening at critically low volume levels or with no music playing resulted in audible noise that would be quite distracting. I went to Barefoot with this issue and Dan promptly got me to me with solutions and accommodations. I sent in the 03's for repair, free of charge, and Dan sent me a loaner pair of 01's to use so I could still run my recording studio. The customer service at Barefoot is astounding, really. After living with the 01's for a couple months, I got the repaired 03's back but honestly couldn't go back to them. Although the 03's have a nice low end for the size speaker, I needed more and the 01's gave me that. I also found that the 03's had quite a jarring mid range that I didn't like, whereas the 01's sounded the most natural and pleasant to me. The Barefoot Footprint 01's have immaculate low end, 3D sounding depth, an incredibly wide and accurate stereo field, and great technology with the MEME Controller. I believe the skill ceiling with the 01's is incredibly high which is allowing me to grow exponentially as a recording and mixing engineer. If you have the budget and are looking for a fantastic 3-way monitor setup, the 01's are a great pick!
