I will show you 3 ways to blend your coloured pencils to help you brighten up your colours and get rid of annoying white tooth in your paper. Blending you coloured pencils is one of those skills that will really help smooth out and brighten up your artwork. It works hand in hand with layering, which we talked about in our last video. So here is a beginners guide to blending. I will be using Derwent Lightfast, as they work really well with one of the blending methods I’ll be showing you today. We are also going to continue colouring in Small Victories by Johanna Basford. Just like I did for the top dinosaur I want to use complimentary colours, so if you have a colour wheel, they can be quite helpful for this. I’m going to be using red violet with yellow greens as the complimentary colour. I’ve picked out a few pencils for each colour.
