Ghostwire Tokyo - Ryzen 7 5700X & RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB - Another Unique Game from Tango, Revisited

Greetings, everyone. Today, as it is tradition for me every year, we revisit a game from Tango Gameworks, it’s the time for Ghostwire Tokyo, running on my Ryzen 7 5700X and Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB. These are my PC specs: -CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X (stock settings) with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Black RGB (w/2 fans, push-pull). -Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. -GPU: Zotac Twin Edge 5060 Ti 16 GB, 0.975V|+375 MHz Core|+2000 MHz Mem UnderVolt, WHQL driver 581.57. -RAM: Kingston Fury Renegade RGB 32 GB (2x16 Dual Rank each), CL16 DDR4@3600 MT/s. -Storage: PNY XLR8 CS3030 1TB NVMe (O.S. and game), Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB. -Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 (Intake: 2x140 Front, 1x120 Lower Front - Exhaust: 1x140 Rear, 1x120 Top/VRM Area). -PSU: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold. -O.S: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (v.22H2). -Main Monitor: LG UltraGear 27GP850-B - 1440p@180 Hz -Secondary Monitor: AOC AGON AG251FG 1080p@240Hz (may sometimes be used as main) -ReBAR ON (BIOS, etc.) but OFF in Driver by Default for this game. -HAGS ON. -DSR uses 33% Smoothing Frame data capture and analysis software used: https://www.capframex.com/, which also requires Rivatuner Statistics Server: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/... Here’s a link to get Nvidia Profile Inspector, so you can override the DLSS model in this game: https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProf... And Flawless Widescreen, if you want an easy way to increase the FOV and fix any FOV related issues in cutscenes on various aspect ratios: https://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/ Some timestamps for this video: 00:00 - Intro and brief overview of changes since release 01:57 - Movie Display Mode: Performance vs Quality on New Game Intro Cutscene, slight judder going on 06:31 - Some Graphics Settings Testing: Max vs "Medium" vs "Lowest" side by side 08:48 - Ray Tracing Presets Scaling, side by side 10:03 - Global Illumination Testing and Comparisons, side by side 13:38 - UE 4's TSR vs DLSS 2.5 vs DLSS 4, Rain looks Thicker with Upscalers & Image Quality Comparisons 17:19 - [1440p]Max Settings, Quality DLSS 4, RT ON, Smooth Motion Testing 18:23 - Mouse Camera Judder issue: how to improve (not a complete fix) 22:04 - [1080p]Max Settings, DLAA 4 forced via Nvidia Profile Inspector, 60 FPS, Smooth Motion OFF vs ON, Some Gameplay 23:56 - [1440p]Max Settings, Quality DLSS 4, Smooth Motion w/ 60 FPS In Game Cap (120 Output FPS), Gameplay 27:35 - [4K DLDSR]Max Settings, Perf. DLSS 4, 60 FPS Lock, More Gameplay (no Smooth Motion) 28:59 - [1920p DLDSR]Max Settings, Perf. DLSS 4, Smooth Motion w/60 FPS Lock, more Gameplay Ghostwire Tokyo is not a very old game, in fact, it’s current generation but, the interesting thing about it, technically speaking, is that it was made in Unreal Engine 4, and has Ray Traced Shadows and Reflections. For a game that came out in 2022, it holds out relatively well and it avoided most of the major issues we normally can find in modern UE 5 releases. It had slight Shader Compilation stutter, at launch, but that is not something I’ve noticed on my replay, these past few days, at least not up to a level that would make me talk about it: if it still happens, it’s not even worth mentioning. Thanks to the 5060 Ti, the game can now be maxed out, graphically, even at high resolutions and, since we can enable Smooth Motion, the results can be quite interesting. The biggest visual upgrade we can apply, though, without any mods, is overriding the very old DLSS 2.5 implementation for the latest DLSS 44 Transformer Model, by using Nvidia Profile Inspector, since the Nvidia App won’t allow it, for this game. Other than some odd judder / jittery behavior on the Mouse, which can be improved precisely by capping the game at 60 FPS, and a bit more by enabling Smooth Motion, the game runs quite well on my current specs. As usual, I hope this can be useful to any of you, and I will see you in the next one : ) #GhostwireTokyo #RTX5060Ti #Ryzen5700X
