In this video I take Rusty and Jalba with me to Bells Rapids, a popular hiking spot for Perth locals. Located not far from the Swan Valley along the Avon River. It's about 30 minutes from the Perth CBD, easy to access for any type of vehicle and a range of walking and hiking tracks. It's a great time of year to explore the Bells Rapids, while the streams are flowing, the river is full and the grass is green. Rusty and Jalba had a great time at Bells Rapids - it is a dingo and dog friendly hiking spot. This walk was not meant to be a treat walk where I was expecting them to walk beside me and be rewarded for it. I'm not a professional dog trainer but figured this was not the right environment to try a training session. This was an enrichment walk to help stimulate their brains and give them an opportunity to exercises their noses and have an adventure with me - sniffing is great enrichment for dogs and dingoes. Moments like this are an important bonding opportunity for me and the boys, we really enjoy days like this. I'd love to hear about the different types of walks that you do with your dogs or dingoes - comment below!
