It is said that Ma Parvati first made anarse for Lord Shiva during the Sawan month and since then Anarsa is made during Sawan in the entire North India. The Anarsa Recipe calls for soaking rice for 2 days, draining it, pounding it and then making a dough and then making anarsa balls that are coated with sesame seeds and then fried. The Anarsa recipe is a quite time consuming recipe. So here is an instant anarsa recipe. For this instant anarsa recipe, you do not have to soak the rice at all. These instant anarsa are made with rice flour. It's a fairly easy recipe that makes anarse that are crisp on the outside and soft inside. Instant Anarsa Preparation time: 30 minutes Cooing time: 20 minutes Serves: 3-4 Ingredients: 1 cup Rice flour ¼ cup flour 1 ½ cup Water 2 tbsp yoghurt 6 tbsp Sugar 2 tbsp ghee Pinch of salt 1/4 cup Sesame seeds Oil to fry Method: Mixed together the rice flour, flour and the salt. Bring the water to a boil in a small pan. Mix in the sugar. Now add in the flower to the boiling water and mix immediately. Remove from heat and cover and rest for 10 minutes. Now add the yogurt and the Ghee to the flour mixture. Knead well till you have a smooth and crack free dough. Break the dough into tiny balls and roll till it is crack free. Roll the balls in sesame seeds. Fry in medium hot oil, tail golden and crisp.
