In today’s video at Shoe Healer, Doncaster, we take a look at a pair of Red Wing Engineer Boots in for a full sole rebuild. These iconic boots came in with some wear and a previous repair that wasn’t quite up to scratch — a Rambler sole and heel fitted in the wrong colour. Inside, we found a Conte board insole rather than leather, which is a bit of a letdown for long-term wear, but not uncommon. While we didn’t capture the full repair process this time, we do show the condition before and the finished result: a new leather midsole, Ridgeway sole unit, leather heel stack, and custom red stitching. A clean and solid rebuild that brings these boots right back to life.
