Norfolk & Western 611 runs in North Carolina and Virginia in 2016

In 2016, NS continued running Norfolk & Western 611 on the mainline after its recent restoration. In April, 2016, these runs were based out of Spencer, NC. Saturday, April 9, the train ran from Spencer to Lynchburg, VA, and return, and on Sunday, April 10, the train ran from Spencer to Asheville, NC, and return, over the famous Old Fort Loops. Here we see the train as it readies within the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, then follow it north to Lynchburg and return. Then, we start in Salisbury and follow the train across the state to Asheville, then get a couple views of its return trip there as well.
