Full intro of the original full length theme tune for season 8. Captain Mitch with Neely, Donna, Cody, Lani, April, Hobie the new lieutenant Jordan & Newmy. This is fan made - not the original version. This was the Season where they over cast and for Season 9 we saw huge amount of the cast let go and they reshaped the series back to like Season 3-5 with a small cast so they could spend more time on character development. I think Season 7 had a relatively extensive cast to normal seasons , and with the show getting more popular by the year.. they were moving away from the stable 5 main cast intro and taking chances with making it bigger, it worked for Season 7 and I liked it.. esp as they reintroduced a senior figure in Capt Samantha Thomas , prob my fav new addition. Why she wasn't a Lt , is probably because Stephanie was still to make guest appearances until her death episode later in the series , so 8t made sense to make Samantha the next best thing, a Captain. This really shook up the story lines as she now was running the beach as a main stay, and this made good storylines as she was Mitchs boss , plus she was beautiful. the last Captain we seen after Captain Thorpe was in Season 4 for the episode" Submersion", and in Season 5 for the hover craft introduction, so there has always been Captains around (for people wondering why all of a sudden there there Captain) , but for me Samantha was amazing in this character.. even though like Kelly Packard she appeared as a side character in Season 1. I loved Donna and Jordan added to Season 7 also. but for Season 8 it just went so so messy. too many new characters...not even enough time to show them or even develop them.. hey not even enough time to let them be lifeguards eg... Taylor and Skye... and they were not good actresses for main stay. They let characters like Jordan and Donna suffer and underdevelop because of this.. as in the first episodes until they seen the potential of the new actresses.. Donna and Jordan are very prominent , but April and Lani end up shining and becoming the stars of the show.. leaving Donna and Jordan as support cast, when they should have been main cast and more prominent. This intro is my way of fixing the problem and the changes I would have made if I could have worked on the show Jordan take Taylors storylines Donna take Skyes storylines we would have seen them both in at least another 4 to five episodes on top of what they did.
