Yesterday I said that undefined characters can’t develop. This video is the continuation of that thought. I’m trying to understand what it actually means for me to commit to YouTube — not as an abstract idea, but as a real practice. Not motivation, not purpose-talk, but concrete questions: When does a hobby become something serious? What changes when you start identifying with a role? What does it require in terms of time, repetition, openness, and responsibility? In this video I talk through my current understanding of commitment: showing up regularly, practicing the craft, standing for a set of topics, being open to collaboration, and accepting that others will relate to you through that role.
