Gold Coast in Australia is home to many theme parks and if you are travelling there, a visit to one of the Theme parks has to be on your list of things to do! Dreamworld is Australia's biggest theme park with over 40 rides and attractions and Today we will talk about how to plan for a visit to Dream World. The best part about Dream World is that you get to visit a theme park, a water park and a zoo all in a single visit. There are some thrilling and scary rides that would just blow your mind! 1. So first, Let’s talk about Tickets: There are many different kinds of tickets. A basic Single day pass costs around Australian Dollar 99. A three day pass is just 10 dollars extra, which is a great deal if you plan to go more than once. There are some combo tickets as well, like adding a buffet lunch or pictures with Koalas. I would suggest buying your tickets beforehand online so you can save time at queues at the ticket counters. Do note, that entry to White Water World is included in Dream World tickets and you don’t need to buy anything extra to enter the water park. We bought our one day pass from Klook and saved quite a bit of money. You can check it out too. 2. How to reach Dream World? Dream world is around 25-30 kms away from Surfers Paradise, the most popular area on the Gold coast. Taking a car or taxi would be the fastest option, but public transport works well too. If you are staying around surfer’s paradise or Broad beach area, you can easily reach Dreamworld using public transport. You need to get on the G-Link tram till ‘Helensvale’ station. Get on bus TX7 that goes to Dream World and also to other theme parks like Wet-n-wild & Warner brother’s Movie World. Google maps works very well. 3. How to plan your day? Dreamworld is a huge park and combined with White water world, it is much much bigger to cover in a day. You need to plan your visit in advance, or else, you may end up missing some of the rides or activities. I would suggest spending 2 days if you are with kids or a large group. But, like us, if you have limited time and want to cover everything in one day, here are some suggestions - 3.1 REACH ON TIME. On most days, Dreamworld opens at 10 am and closes at 5pm and White water world opens at 11 am and closes at 4 pm. Plan to reach Dreamworld 15 minutes before 10 am so that you can enter at 10! 3.2 Choose areas you want to cover - There are different areas in the park and you can choose to skip some of the areas based on your preferences e.g. if you do not want to get wet, skip White water world. Or, if you are all grown ups, you can skip ABC Kids world which is mainly for young kids. 3.3 If you plan to visit White Water World, which as per me, you MUST! Keep at least 3 hours for it so that you can try and also repeat some of your favorite slides. 4. Know the Things to Do in the park: We can broadly divide the areas of interest into 3 categories: Rides, Water Park and Experiences 4.1 Rides 4.2 White water world 4.3 Experiences: If you are not much into rides, there are some other activities that can be done e.g. You can feed kangaroos, watch and hold a Koala, see some rare species of animals, explore the tiger island, visit one of the biggest lego stores in Australia etc 5. Food: You can get some choice of food and drinks in the food court. There is a buffet as well. There are some ice cream outlets in the park as well. As for outside food, the website mentions that you can not bring prepackaged food. But, we took some chips and drinks and there was no problem. Since queues for food are long, it would be a good idea to carry something from home and save time waiting in food court queues. Ok, so to conclude, Dream World is one of the MOST FUN PLACES to go to in Gold Coast. One day is quite less to cover everything, but with good planning, you can have the best time of your life! ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● MORE VIDEOS: / vrindasadventures SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL: https://goo.gl/LzueXd MY FACEBOOK PAGE: / vrindasadventures FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM: @vrindasadventures ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Thank you for watching my videos.
