That said, I now think lights shine more beautifully glowing through fog, especially these coloured airport lights that almost seemed to billow like smoke. It had just gone 6 in the morning local time. I was surprised when the airport lights flashed suddenly into view from such a short distance, meaning we were about to touch the ground! In that terrible visibility! I thought we were still a thousand feet up! The ground appeared fast but the quality of the landing was exceptional. Thanks to the pilots. Brilliant. A flight and landing I will never forget.
