Edun capsule collection project with BA Textile Design and MA Fashion Design with Marketing

This project was a collaboration with Edun, the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) weaving workshop and facility in Burkina Faso, Africa, and the students from BA Textile Design: weave pathway and BA Fashion Design with Marketing (FDM). The aim of this project was to combine the fresh thinking and bold creativity of CSM students with the highly skilled and traditional techniques of the EFI artisans and the sustainable design DNA of Edun to explore new and exciting woven designs using traditional techniques and sustainable practices. Swatches from the winning two textile design students were sent to be created in Burkino Faso by trained artisans, whilst the FDM students created fresh fashion designs from the sustainable materials. https://www.youtube.com/subscription_...
