WCP 007 Barry Town to Rhoose

We start at Barry Town railway station and go out across the causeway road. Barry Island was once a true island but the causeway was built in the 1880s. The path takes us around the back of the island, where I got a little bit lost. Many people don't know this other side of the island. We pass Jackson's Bay which is a bit of a local's secret. Vistors mainly know the frontside with Whitmore Bay and the amusement park. The official Coast Path takes a high level path but I prefer to go along the prominade at a lower levels. After the main beach we run around Watch House Bay. You can cross this at low tide but do this with caution, watch what the locals are doing. We go through "The Knap" and out into Porthkerry park.
