Inspired by the breathtaking views of the Foothills Open Space Preserve, the house was carefully designed to connect the family with the surrounding nature. Its design incorporates a blend of crisp and clean lines, generous windows that capture natural light and offer panoramic views, as well as artistic materials that provide depth and privacy. The name of the house is derived from the "slot," a window in the core of the house that slices through the double-height interior space. The window divides the spacious nooks of the house, physically distinguishing the public and private space, while also allowing natural light and views to the sky.
