Bikepacking the Faroe Islands - The beginning of a cycling trip to our limits

Our cycling trip to the Faroe Islands in the summer of 2024 turned out to be a real bikepacking adventure. The unique landscape of the rugged archipelago in the North Atlantic is somewhat reminiscent of the wild nature of Scotland. But the Faroe Islands have their very own face, which we will experience up close and without a filter on our bike trip. Thanks to the adverse weather conditions with storms and rain, cycling turns out to be a real challenge, especially since the islands are characterized by steep climbs and high passes that have to be overcome. The next difficulty lies in finding a place to sleep: there are few campsites, and our tent is put to the test in violent storms. Join us on the ferry journey from Denmark to the Faroe Islands, and on our first bike tour in the land of sheep, where we should get a taste of the wild natural power of the Faroe Islands.
