Loop Hero - Universe's Storm (Remix Sketch)

For the vast majority of my early game covers and remixes, I would only choose songs I was intimately familiar with through the years I spent in front of the TV with a controller in my hands. While a lot of those songs I grew up with are still among my very favorites, I've realized that there are just too many games with great soundtracks out there that I will never have the time to actually play. Every once in a while, I'll hear about a game and becurious to checking out its soundtrack, which is exactly what happened with Loop Hero. The game itself looks unique and addictive, and the soundtrack by Aleksandr Goreslavets (aka blinch) had some wonderful, atmospheric, retro-goodness which I was instantly inspired to sketch out and mess around with. This is a fairly straightforward, upbeat cover of Universe's Storm - one of the boss themes from the game. The beat and strong melody remind me of some of the all-time classics I grew up with on the NES. The song is definitely a bit faster than some of the stuff I've sketched out lately, and enjoyed the quicker pace of this one. Definitely check out the game and soundtrack if you're into the classic RPG aesthetics and a moody, kickass soundtrack.
