Montgomery 17 Pocket Cruiser Sailboat Last 2021 Trip Cruising In The Pacific Northwest

This was my sixth and final trip, with Tramontana for the 2021 cruising season. My chosen destination was the northern boundary islands in the San Juan Islands. I tried going to Matia and Patos Islands earlier in the cruising season. They are small coves with limited moorage buoys and dock space. Neither islands had space available so I ventured to Sucia and Clark Islands. September is usually quieter and I was able to use the dock at Matia and moored to a buoy at Patos. I had beautiful weather and a fantastic time hiking and paddling my dinghy in the coves. This was my seventh cruising season living on Orcas Island. Between solo trips and cruising with other friends and their small boats I have seen most of the Salish Sea. Now I have to pass the long winter months and plan for next season on the beautiful waters of the Salish Sea.
