Art for Relaxation - Wood Burn with Colored Pencils

With the holidays on the way, I decided to wood burn one of my childhood favorites into a wood plaque. Using a picture printed from an ink jet printer (transfer will only work if its from an ink jet printer) and the iron-looking wood burn attachment, I was able to transfer the image onto the wood plaque. I was then able to trace the image with my wood burn tool! I love wood burning because it really makes the artwork pop (the smell of the wood burning is nice too). To give my reindeer some life, I used color pencils to complete my scene. I finished it off with some satin setting spray to avoid smudging. You can also add a picture hanger to the back of the plaque if you want the ability to hang it. Happy Holidays! –Christina PS: Please be careful with wood burners, don’t accidentally burn yourself!
