Arm Care Program | Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro

Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro created their Arm Care Program to facilitate healing and recovery during baseball season for overhead athletes. The services are provided by a Licensed Physical Therapist and consists of Manual Therapy, such as ASTYM, Cupping and other Myofascial Release techniques. It also incorporates foam roller exercises, stretching, stabilization exercises and trigger point release techniques to help minimize the stressful effects of pitching on the shoulder and arms of young athletes. The owner of Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro, Kent Bond, MSPT, has over 51 years of playing, coaching and treating baseball injuries. While at a continuing education conference years ago, Kent ran into Lenny Macrina of Champion Physical Therapy and Performance and the two began talking about Champion Physical Therapy and Performance's program to help their youth and collegiate pitchers during their condolences and cold New England spring baseball season to minimize injuries. It was there that Kent learned from Lenny that he and his business partner, Mike Reinold, were working closely with renowned Orthopedic Surgeon, James Andrews, MD, and prominent physical therapist, Kevin Wilk, to design and implement their program for their baseball players. When Kent is not treating patients in the clinic, he is also an assistant baseball coach for a local high school team. It was there that he customized his Arm Care Program and implemented the program to help the Banks Braves Baseball team have an injury free season in 2019 which lead them to win their 2019 4A Baseball State Championship! With the success of the Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro's Arm Care Program, we are continuing to help other local overhead athletes recover during their sporting seasons in order to remain injury free and stay in the game!
