My books are available in English language in print only. If you wish to order, please email info@jamilamusayeva.com or my website: https://jamilamusayeva.com/order-books In this video, I am sharing with you a very special holiday table set-up that we do for Novruz in Azerbaijan. I also wanted to tell you about traditions and superstitions around Novruz. Make sure to stay tuned until the very end of this video because some of the most interesting traditions I have saved for the last. Note: I used the word spicy twice. In the first instance, I meant spicy as “made with various kinds of spices.” In the second one, I meant spicy as “hot.” Also, the correct order of Tuesdays is Water, Fire, Wind and Earth. I hope you enjoy this video. Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see more of this kind of content - related to Azerbaijani culture and traditions. Novruz Vocabulary: Chershenbe Axshami- Tuesday Evenings (4 Tuesdays prior to Novruz celebrated in dedication to one of the 4 elements) Semeni- green sprouting wheat Khoncha- a tray that is filled with all the goodies, semeni, eggs and candles Gokhal- a salty or sweet dough that looks like a sun Shekerbura- a moon-like sweet filled with sugar, nuts Pakhlava- a sweet, syrupy sweet filled with nuts My Social Media: Instagram: / jamila_musayeva TikTok: / jamila_musayeva Website: http://jamilamusayeva.com/ Email: info@jamilamusayeva.com
