A delegation of representatives from the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) speak about the FJP’s vision for Egypt and a recent announcement that leading Muslim Brotherhood member Khairat al-Shater would run for president, despite earlier pledges by the party not to participate in the election. They also respond to questions from the audience. This forum was hosted by Georgetown University and it aired on C-Span on April 4, 2012. John L. Esposito, Founding Director of then Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University introduces the delegation.
