Lawall plays his Ukulele Streetwalk and arrangements of 5 pieces by Gaspar Sanz on a HEARTLAND 5 course baroque guitar (Rosewood-walnut-version, copy of a Mateo Sellas instrument, Venice 1640). Sellas (Matthäus Seelos) was a german luthier from Fuessens (the german Cremona). Filmed at 'Märchensee' (fairylake), a pittoresque location near Rottenburg/Germany. The A - D have octave strings, G - H have unisono strings and the high 'chanterelle' is solo. The Sanz pieces are short spanish folkdanses. Sanz has collected 90 for his 'Instrucción de musica sorbre la guitarra espagnola ... ' (Saragossa 1674) and Lawall augmented them with variations. The HEARTLAND Sellas guitars are good value instruments and give the choice of four variants around +/- 700 € . For playing the vuhuela and renaissancelute repertoire Lawall added a 6th course (E or D) later.
