Arkansas Growing: The Journey from Legalization to Cultivation

First aired March 29, 2019. A little more than two years ago, Arkansas voters approved an amendment to the state constitution legalizing the use of medical marijuana. It was a bold step for an otherwise traditional state. And while it's taken time to get the program up and running, now it's here. The first medical marijuana products are expected to be in the hands of patients in April. With the program’s arrival, employers in Arkansas face legal questions about worker use. Patients and physicians will navigate the the side effects of the drug. Schools will decide whether it’s allowed on campus.
