Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage 3-4 large carrots, washed, peeled, and cut in small pieces. Or shredded. Whatever you prefer. 12 oz potatoes, washed, peeled, and cut in bite size. Or use baby potatoes, just quarter it. 1 small onion, chopped (about ½ cup) 2 to 4 cups of water (I never use 4. Always do 2 or little less if I add whole can of beer) (Basically, I try to add 2 cups plus 6 oz of liquids, water, and beer combined.) 6 oz beer 1 (4 lb) corned beef brisket with spice packet ½ head of cabbage (3 cups), coarse chopped Place all ingredients in the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 5 hours or 8 hours on LOW. If you prefer cabbage more firm and have time, stir cabbage in and cook 1 more hour on HIGH (or 2 on LOW). Sometimes, I just do not have time to add cabbage later, so I do it all at once. And this is it! Have fun and enjoy! If you would like to help us out a little bit.
