FAMU-FSU College of Engineering is on a mission to propel Florida A&M University (FAMU), a leading Historically Black College and University, to the forefront of Quantum Information Science and Engineering (QISE). Leveraging the unique ExpandQISE program, their aim is to position FAMU as a beacon of innovation and a central hub for quantum research and development in Florida. To turn this bold vision into reality, the College of Engineering will pursue three specific goals: 1) establish a state-of-the-art QISE research program featuring four synergistic projects that utilize quantum fluids and solids (QFS) as platforms; 2) create a comprehensive educational program at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering (COE) to address the national demand for engineers who are both knowledgeable about quantum concepts and skilled in quantum technologies; 3) develop sustainability in QISE research and education at FAMU-FSU COE through strategic infrastructure development and faculty recruitment.
