You couldn't make it up. Record weekend temperature of over 30c at Loton park hill climb. The last run of the weekend and I had to beat the dolly sprint seen at the end. But out came a red flag, unknown to me there was a massive oil slick up the track then the wild life wanted a bit of the action and a deer crossed the track. At the start the dolomite sprint set off but was caught by the red flag and had a rerun which is why the dolly sprint at the top is a different car. It went off onto the grass near the end and caught a hidden rock which ruptured the oil cooler. The oil pressure was ok, the driver came back on track and unknowingly spread oil on the track and round to the top paddock. We recon about 1000m. the marshals and other drivers did a great job of making it safe so some bikes could finish the days racing.
