When Army fires a gun to start a race, we don't tend to mess about...Run Army participants were set free to hit Brisbane's wet streets and tackle the 5km and 10km events on Sunday, 24 April 2022, after Australian Army gunners fired an artillery gun to start these enormously successful (and fun – check out the smiles) events. Run Army is an Australian Army initiative to promote running, health and wellbeing to its personnel. “Running, Change” is an eight-week program that aims to promote running as an important tool in developing resilience and endurance across Army. The program is open to all Army personnel and aims to develop mental resilience, enhance personal fitness and endurance, and promote running throughout the Army. The program is entirely voluntary and is designed towards middle distance running. The Run Army Fun Run is a Brisbane event in partnership with Legacy with funds raised going towards Brisbane Legacy. There are 5km and 10km courses and the 2022 event is on Sunday, 24 April 2022. Run Army comprises satellite events at Army bases around the country. Run Army also provides a virtual run option for the wider Australian community. Local Legacy Clubs will be the beneficiary of these events. Want even more videos like this?
