Welcome to my collection of cacti and other succulent plants, my little green oasis of calm and serenity! Join me for a detailed tour of my cactus greenhouse, featuring especially all the plants of my "show collection" but also for an overview of all the other plants that I grow there. It is an August update featuring growing and cultivation tips (especially around watering cacti) as well as highlighting a broad selection of awesome plants. You will also experience the plant staging in my collection, which is something I really enjoy - from growing in mini-landscape rock beds to aesthetically arranging and displaying plants in order to further enhance their awesome and unique beauty and "looks". In this video (PART 1 of the Aug/Sep 2025 Tour) you will see and experience, close-up, a wide selection of awesome xerophytic plants, some very mature and old - the oldest being around 80 years old! It focuses mainly on all the beautiful cacti, agaves, some aloes and other succulent plants. Among the genera from the family Cactaceae (cacti), you will see lot's of Ferocactus, Thelocactus, Echinocactus, Parodia (Notocactus), Copiapoa, Astrophytum, Coryphantha, Eriosyce, Stenocactus, Mammillaria, Echinocereus, Ariocarpus, Strombocactus, Aztekium, Obregonia, and many more. Also, a wonderful selection of smaller columnar cacti are among those featured, including Eulychnia, Trichocereus, Cleistocactus, Pachycereus, Lophocereus, Cereus, and many others. PART 2: • TOUR PART 2 of my SUCCULENT PLANTS COLLECT... has a strong focus on a lot of my "other succulent" plants (i.e. non-cacti), like Euphorbias, Aloes, Haworthias, Pachypodiums and other caudiciform / caudex plants - but also epiphytic cacti, and some very unusual, special orchids that I succesfully grow alongside my cacti & succulents! Enjoy the tour! Cheers, Joe @cactusjoe #cacti #cactus #cactiandsucculents #plants #cactuscollection #cactuscollector #greenhouse #succulents
