Rexdale: Extended scene footage of mass shooting at kids birthday party 6-19-2021

At 8h pm Saturday evening a horrific shooting left four people, among them kids, hurt at a residential townhouse complex on Tandridge Crescent in Etobicoke, a neighborhood in Toronto, Canada. Initial reports suggest that one patient was VSA and that in total three children had been injured. A one year old baby who was grazed by bullets is seen being carried onto a stretcher and into an awaiting ambulance in these shocking images. Multiple firefighters along with paramedics were spotted working the busy scene. Numerous TPS officers in uniform along with plain clothes officers and investigators were also spotted at the site. The patients are a 23 year old male, an 11 year old, a 5 year old and a 1 year old, one of which is in critical conditions believed to be one of the two older children. Because of the high risk level of this incident, TPS alerted the public in a tweet that all non-emergency calls to the 911 center will not be answered. The public announcement followed the shooting incident in which numerous TFS cruisers were urgently required along the path from the scene to various hospitals to escort victims riding in ambulances code 3. A number of investigators held an impromptu meeting atop a Ford cruiser's hood to share early information. Police say that an unknown number of shooters were on foot at the time of the shots being fired. The violent targeted attack left evidence markers on the ground near inflatable kids toys. This incredible reckless act of violence involves innocent victims that were clearly visible in the daylight at that time of the day. The perpetrators opened fire on the crowd gathered to have fun at a party in a backyard filled with colorful toys for toddlers and families. Chaos erupted when shots were fired which caused a large police deployment in the early aftermaths. Two Toronto Fire Services fire chiefs were deployed at the major crime scene along with at least 5 ambulances, EMS supervisors, TPS special unit Public Safety Response Team (PSRT), a Special Constable and the ETF. Dozens of emergency vehicles with blinking strobe lights remained parked in the vicinity of the attack for some time after a secondary possibly related incident in a nearby highrise. Toronto Police Services have opened an investigation into the crime in an attempt to find and condemn the cowards responsible for these despicable dastardly acts.
