In this year's international day of forests, let's remember the people that live in and around forests, especially Indigenous Peoples who have taken care of forests and whose lives and rights are also linked to those of forests. The theme for this year is “Forests and Sustainable Cities”. While we celebrate the importance of forests and their relations to cities, let's also remember the threats that our forests face because of growing demands for energy, meat, wood, & other products. The CCRI assessments in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 showed that men and women have different experiences and practices in relation to the use of and conservation of natural resources.
