This part continues after my arrival into Charlotte from Ft Lauderdale. My next leg to New York was supposed to be on the A321 as well, At the last minute a relative cheap upgrade fare jumped up and decided to go for it. It's a great way to log my most probably last flight on US AIrways. Departure: 70% Charlotte's Douglas airport has a nice layout! However it can be very crowded during the peak moments. wifi did not work so great but there where plenty of charging stations. Boarding was chaotic as nobody new which group was boarding. Aircraft Cleanliness 80% Fresh and clean appreance, way better than the ghetto-configuration that I had on FLL-CLT. Seat comfort: 70% Each seat was accompanied with a pillow and a blanket. legroom was ok, Very bad lumbar support however, Crew 80% Only 1 F/A greeting the pax, tending to F-class and helping wheelchair pax board the plane! Kudos to this single F/A but this is just too much for 1 single person to do. We where kept informed during the weather delay in New York. IFE: 80% Wifi Catering: 70% Snack basket with multiple cookies, multiple rounds where served as well. Sufficient but this is wat European airlines would serve in Y on a flight this length. Arrival 50% While JFK Terminal 8 is pretty open and nice to walkt trough! However their organisation was a mess! No info, no annoucements, nobody knew nothing which carroussel the baggage would arrive. Overall verdict: 71% It was nice to try out Domestic first class on US Airways! While the A321 looked fresh the seats where firmer than United's. They where ok but I would not want to fly them on let's say a transcon. Crew was nice but understaffed (4 F/A's for a full 321). US Airways recenlty moved their JFK operations to Terminal 8, however terminal 8 isn't ready for US yet as their was no signage nor information for any of the US AIrways flights....
